Message from the Chairman

A central location for updates on events, projects, and information of interest to

Village of Diggins residents and the surrounding communities.

Michael Newman

Chairman, Board of Trustees

Hwy 60 and A Hwy Overpass Project Update:

This week, residents will begin to see structures removed in preparation for the South outer road.  This will include two former residences: one at the end of W. Ragsdale and the other next to the Lutheran Church on NN, where the new roundabout will be placed.  Fill is being trucked in for the North outer road and A roundabout, so there will also be a higher volume of trucks on A Hwy from Amish Loop Road to Hwy 60.  At the beginning of September, work will start on the water and sanitary sewer lines South of Hwy 60.  Water interruptions will be expected during this phase, and I will do my best to give residents advance notice of any foreseeable interruptions.

Citywide Alert Notification:

I am pleased to announce that the Village of Diggins is partnering with Webster County Emergency Management and our surrounding communities to offer a city-wide alert notification system.  This is a service that will be free of charge and completely optional.  Should you choose to participate, you will need to enroll online.  Residents will be able to enroll to receive both the Village of Diggins alerts and those for our neighboring communities.  We will provide more detail on the enrollment process soon.

Next Meeting Agenda

Notice to our residents as to what will be discussed during our next regularly scheduled  Board of Trustee's meeting.  To be added to any Agenda please contact the City Clerk.
