Message from the Chairman

A central location for updates on events, projects, and information of interest to

Village of Diggins residents and the surrounding communities.

Michael Newman

Chairman, Board of Trustees

Hwy 60 and A Hwy Overpass Project Update:

MODOT has advised me of a route A closure beginning the week of December 1st lasting approximately 10 days.  This will impact Highway 60 and A intersection.  Traffic coming from Marshfield will be redirected down FF into Fordland any traffic south of FF will be detoured on Chestnut Road and again back through Fordland. There will be reader board signs directing traffic at these two locations.  Should locals to our area choose to use Old Diggins Road (Gravel Road by the wastewater treatment plant) please keep in mind the load limitations on the new bridge, as well as high Amish traffic.  We also encourage everyone to follow the detour signs left on North Diggins Main over to O highway to minimize traffic through town and our already worn-out roads. At the conclusion of this closure the expectation is that the new North Outer Road will be paved and open to traffic east and west bound.

Work has been completed on the utilities re-routing near the south round about so water interruptions should be minimal for the foreseeable future.
